Azzate parking scam: cut tire used to steal purse

In Azzate, Lombardy, three suspects (a woman and two men) deliberately punctured the front left tyre of a Renault Clio parked at the Penny Market supermarket. While the vehicle owner stopped to replace the tyre, the perpetrators opened the passenger‑side door and stole a purse. A nearby resident witnessed the theft and alerted the victim. The incident was reported to the Carabinieri, and a police report was filed at the Azzate station.

Authorities warn drivers to remain vigilant for similar tyre‑cutting scams, which are used to create opportunities for opportunistic thefts in parking areas.
