Azzedine Ounahi faces long-term injury layoff
Panathinaikos midfielder Azzedine Ounahi has suffered a severe injury that is expected to sideline him until the new year. Following a medical examination and MRI, it was confirmed that the Moroccan player sustained a serious tear in his right biceps femoris muscle.
The injury occurred during a Super League match against Asteras AKTOR, where Ounahi was forced to leave the pitch on a stretcher in the 16th minute. He was replaced by Andreas Tetey.
Ounahi is projected to be absent for at least 2.5 months. His absence will impact several upcoming fixtures, including matches against Kairat Almaty, AEK, and Olympiacos, as well as various domestic and international competitions.
