B. LEAGUE to launch new Premier era in September 2026

The B. LEAGUE is set to launch its new era, the ‘B. LEAGUE PREMIER’, in September 2026. This restructuring, referred to as ‘B. Innovation’, involves the integration and reorganization of 55 clubs, brand refreshes, and the introduction of a salary cap system to balance competitive strength and support regional clubs.

Saga Ballooners will begin their campaign at the SAGA Arena, featuring a matchup against the Hiroshima Dragonflies. The roster includes former NBA player Nasir Little and Saga City native Futa Taketomi. The league aims to use these events to stimulate local economies and community engagement.

Retailer Alpen Co., Ltd. has announced its continued partnership with the league for the 2026-27 season. Alpen will support various clubs, including Levanga Hokkaido and Ryukyu Golden Kings, through sponsorship, member discounts at Sports Depo stores, and ticket giveaway campaigns. Additionally, the company will participate in activities surrounding the 2027 B. LEAGUE All-Star Game Weekend in Nagoya.
