Bà Phụng passes away in episode 31 of 'Dưới ô cửa sáng đèn

Episode 31 of the Vietnamese prime‑time drama “Dưới ô cửa sáng đèn” aired on VTV3 on 27 July. In this episode the matriarch Bà Phụng, played by NSƯT Tú Oanh, dies suddenly after a series of unusual, more alert behaviour.

Earlier in the episode Bà Phụng had been urging her son Tài (Tuấn Tú) to become more independent, arranging for him to meet Nguyệt (Thanh Hương) and encouraging him to find a partner. She also prepared meals and gave many instructions, hinting at an anticipated departure.

The episode also features a subplot in which Diệu (Quỳnh Châu) openly shows affection toward her neighbour Sinh (Quang Sự), creating a tense but tender moment that contrasts with the family drama.
