Ba Vi National Park sees crowds for cloud hunting
Thousands of visitors and vehicles crowded the entrance of Ba Vi National Park in Hanoi during the weekend of October 3-4 to witness the sea of clouds phenomenon. Starting from 4:00 AM, long lines of people and vehicles gathered at the ticket gates, causing localized traffic congestion on the mountain roads.
Statistics from the national park indicate that from October through the end of the year is peak season for cloud hunting. While the park averages approximately 4,000 visitors daily, numbers increase by 50% during weekends. Many visitors bring camping gear and cameras to capture the sunrise amidst the clouds.
The most ideal location for viewing the phenomenon is around Tan Vien Peak, which sits at an altitude of 1,227 meters. Park representatives noted that the appearance of the clouds depends on temperature, humidity, wind, and terrain. Visitors are advised to check weather conditions, prepare warm clothing, and use lighting for safe nighttime travel.
