Baba Baidyanath Dham in Deoghar prepares for up to 300,000 devotees on Shravan Monday

On the first Monday of the Hindu month of Shravan, the Baba Baidyanath Dham shrine in Deoghar, Jharkhand, is expecting a crowd of 200,000 to 300,000 pilgrims. Officials noted that about 150,000 devotees visited the temple the previous day. To handle the surge, authorities have extended the outer “argha” offering area, installed expandable barriers inside and outside the complex, and cleared nearby shops to keep the approach routes clear. Police and the Quick Response Team, along with additional jawans, have been deployed to maintain order and safety throughout the day. The enhanced queuing system and crowd‑control measures aim to ensure orderly movement for worshippers offering holy water at the Parvati Temple and other shrine points.
