Baba Ramdev sends Raksha Bandhan gifts to Kangana Ranaut to end feud

Yoga guru Baba Ramdev has attempted to de-escalate a public feud with BJP Member of Parliament Kangana Ranaut by sending her sweets and a gift for the festival of Raksha Bandhan. Speaking to reporters in Haridwar, Ramdev expressed a desire to resolve their differences through dialogue rather than hostility, stating, “There should be no hatred in the country for any reason.”

The dispute between the two figures began following Ranaut’s controversial “Generation Gutter” remarks regarding student protesters. Ramdev had criticized these comments during a television interview, suggesting they reflected a “disturbed state of mind.” Ranaut responded with sharp social media criticism directed at Ramdev.

In addition to the gesture toward Ranaut, Ramdev used the occasion to call for broader social harmony and an end to caste-based discrimination in India, urging political parties to promote unity through the traditions of the festival.
