Babadağ to host 8th annual Babafest festival in October
The 8th annual Babafest is scheduled to take place in the Babadağ district of Denizli, Turkey, from October 22 to 25. Organized by the Babadağ Municipality, the four-day festival aims to promote the region's historical weaving culture, local cuisine, and tourism potential.
The event program includes cultural exhibitions featuring historical diplomas and photographs from the 1930s to the 1970s, as well as miniature weaving looms to showcase traditional craftsmanship. For health awareness, a conference titled ‘Bir Yumak, Bir Umut Babadağ’ will focus on the importance of early diagnosis in cancer.
Entertainment highlights include nightly concerts featuring artists such as Nurcan Altınok, Necati ve Saykolar, Nez, Ersan Er, and İsmail YK. Additionally, an off-road event is set for Sunday, October 25, with approximately 60 vehicles expected to participate from various Turkish provinces, including Giresun, Rize, Trabzon, Konya, and Antalya.
