Babahoyo bull escapes slaughterhouse and causes damage

A 900-kilogram bull escaped from the Centro de Faenamiento de Animales de Abasto in Babahoyo, Ecuador, causing property damage and public alarm. The animal, which originated from Hacienda San Luis, broke through facility fencing and ran through several streets, eventually entering the bus terminal area.

After causing damage to a commercial establishment within the terminal, the bull was eventually contained and loaded back onto a truck. However, during transport back to the slaughterhouse, the animal collapsed. Veterinarians determined the bull suffered a circulatory alteration caused by extreme physical exertion and stress during its flight, necessitating an emergency slaughter.
