Babangida Aliyu suspended from PDP in Niger State

Babangida Aliyu, the former governor of Niger State, has been suspended from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) within the Chanchaga Local Government Area. The decision followed a stakeholders' meeting in Minna where party members addressed several allegations against him.

The party cited concerns regarding disaffection within the hierarchy, anti-party activities, and disobedience to former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. Specific allegations included the purported funding of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) with N450 million during the 2015 elections to defeat his own party, as well as a refusal to participate in party activities and undermining party resolutions.
