Babar Azam scores 12 runs in domestic cricket return

Babar Azam domestic cricket President’s Trophy Pakistan Test captain OGDCL

Pakistan Test captain Babar Azam scored only 12 runs in his return to domestic red-ball cricket after a seven-year absence. Playing for Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) against Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) in the President’s Trophy, the 31-year-old batter faced 20 deliveries before being dismissed.

Arshad Iqbal ended Babar’s innings by bowling a bouncer that was caught by fielder Abdul Faseeh. The early dismissal contributed to OGDCL’s difficulties, with the team falling to 46-4 after his departure. The match took place at Abbottabad Cricket Stadium, where significant crowds gathered to witness the comeback of the national captain.
