Babcock strengthens UK-Denmark naval cooperation through new agreements

Babcock International Group has signed several Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) with Danish companies to enhance maritime defence cooperation. Unveiled at DALO Industry Days, these agreements aim to develop hybrid naval capabilities, integrating crewed warships with AI-enabled autonomous systems.

Babcock signed MOUs with technology firms STORMBORN and CUBEDIN to explore autonomous systems integration. Additionally, an agreement with SH Group will focus on collaboration regarding ship and naval platform systems. These partnerships are intended to support the vision of a hybrid navy, similar to the UK Royal Navy’s strategic direction, and to maximize Danish industry involvement in platforms developed for and exported from Denmark.
