Babulal Marandi challenges Jharkhand CM over stalled projects

Jharkhand Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi has challenged Chief Minister Hemant Soren regarding several stalled state projects and administrative delays. Marandi highlighted that 288 out of 302 auctioned sand ghats remain closed due to pending mandatory approvals, such as environmental clearances and Gram Sabha permissions, which he claims may encourage illegal sand mining.

Additionally, Marandi questioned the suspension of holding tax collection since August 21, noting that the previous agency's agreement was terminated without an alternative arrangement in place. He demanded transparency regarding revenue losses and a timeline for a new collection system. The Leader of Opposition also flagged delays in road construction projects in Ranchi valued at Rs 1,410 crore.
