Baby Ayla Emanuelly Missing in Campo Grande, Brazil
A 28‑day‑old infant, Ayla Emanuelly, was last seen on Thursday, 6 August, in the Jardim Monumento area of Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul. The Ministry of Justice and Public Security added the case to the national Amber Alert system, publishing the baby’s photo and details to aid the search.
Police investigations by the Civil Police’s Specialized Child and Adolescent Protection Division (DEPCA) have examined conflicting accounts. Initial statements suggested a kidnapping, but later testimonies from the mother’s teenage sister and another adolescent altered the narrative, leading investigators to consider that the baby may have been handed over to third parties. The family claims the mother was lured by a woman offering a photo shoot and a daily payment, after which the infant disappeared. No confirmed location for Ayla has been found, and authorities continue to reconstruct her movements and identify any involved parties.
The alert urges anyone with information to contact the local police (190) or the Civil Police of Mato Grosso do Sul (67 3323‑2508). The case remains under active investigation.
