Baby Gang remains in prison after judge rejects house arrest
Italian trap artist Zaccaria Mouhib, known professionally as Baby Gang, will remain in prison after a judge rejected a request for house arrest. On March 4, 2026, Judge Gianluca Piantadosi denied the defense's motion, describing the 25-year-old as “completely unreliable” and highlighting a significant risk of reoffending.
The court's decision cited Mouhib's involvement in a large-scale international criminal network. Evidence presented includes a trip to Iraq where he was documented using heavy weaponry, such as bazookas and Kalashnikovs. The judge noted that his public persona on social media contributes to his perceived social danger.
Mouhib, who has a history of legal issues including a 2022 shooting and a 2025 weapons possession charge, recently received a sentence of 2 years and 8 months for receiving stolen goods and weapons possession. The magistrate determined that alternative measures to incarceration were insufficient due to his extensive circle of supporters and the gravity of the allegations.
