Vietnamese police launch multiple investigations and traffic enforcement actions

Police in various Vietnamese provinces are conducting multiple investigations and enforcement actions. In Bac Ninh, the Provincial Police have prosecuted 10 individuals for gambling. The group was caught red-handed playing ‘lieng’ in a kitchen on August 15, where authorities seized approximately 28 million VND and playing cards.

In Thanh Hoa, traffic police have issued notices for 614 vehicle owners to pay fines for speeding violations recorded on several national highways between July 16 and July 31, 2026. Similarly, in Bac Ninh, 385 vehicle owners have been identified for traffic violations, including running red lights and crossing lane markings, occurring between August 8 and August 14, 2026.

Additionally, Hanoi police are investigating several motorcycle thefts in the Kim Lien ward area. Authorities have released details regarding nine specific stolen Honda motorcycle models, including SH, Wave, and Vision series, and are requesting public assistance to locate the vehicles.
