Bac Ninh police issue wanted notice for Nguyen Thi Bac

The Bac Ninh Provincial Police Criminal Investigation Department has issued a wanted notice for Nguyen Thi Bac, born October 16, 1969. Bac is accused of gambling under the provisions of the Penal Code.

Following an investigation, authorities determined that the suspect had fled. A warrant was originally issued on July 13, 2007. Law enforcement is currently coordinating with judicial agencies to consider prosecution and trial in absentia. Authorities have advised the suspect to surrender to receive leniency under the law, noting that fleeing during trial may result in the forfeiture of the right to self-defense and the loss of potential mitigating circumstances.
