BACB and ASB report annual financial results

BACB has reported strong financial results for the year ending December 31, 2025. The bank recorded operating income of £92.8 million and a profit before tax of £31.6 million, exceeding internal targets. The bank's total assets reached £3.3 billion, and it supported over £4.0 billion in trade finance across 42 markets. During the year, BACB expanded into new markets, including Angola and Pakistan, and introduced new digital and Sharia-compliant financing solutions.

ASB reported a cash net profit after tax of $1,318 million for the 12 months ending June 30, 2026, representing a 2% decrease from the previous year. Despite the slight decline in profit, the bank saw a 6% increase in home, business, and rural lending, as well as customer deposits. Operating expenses rose by 16% to $1,645 million, attributed to inflation, technology investments, and the settlement of class action proceedings related to the Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act 2003.
