Bacchus Marsh rollover claims lives of two children

Two children have died following a single-vehicle 4WD rollover west of Melbourne. The accident occurred near the intersection of Nerowie and Parwan-Exford roads in Parwan just before 4pm on Tuesday.

Police report that a 34-year-old woman was driving an eight-seater vehicle carrying seven children when the car rolled off the road and came to a stop on a grass verge. A seven-year-old girl died at the scene, and an 11-year-old boy later died in the hospital from critical injuries.

Five other children sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and the driver was hospitalized for observation. The Major Collision Investigation Unit is currently investigating the cause of the crash and is seeking witnesses or dashcam footage to assist with the inquiry.
