Back-to-school fairs organized in Altamira and Tampico

Municipalities in the Tamaulipas region are organizing back-to-school fairs to provide affordable school supplies and materials to families.

In Altamira, Social Welfare Secretary Blanca Guzmán Hinojosa participated in the 2026 Back-to-School Fair held at Constitución Plaza. The initiative, coordinated with the Altamira DIF System, aims to reduce the economic impact of the new school cycle by offering quality supplies at accessible prices.

In Tampico, Social Welfare Secretary Alejandro Rubio de la Portilla announced a similar fair scheduled for August 26. This event is being organized in coordination with the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco) and involves local stationery businesses. The goal is to help families save on essential items such as notebooks, backpacks, and uniforms. The specific location for the Tampico event is yet to be officially announced.
