In the first installment, teenager Marty McFly accidentally travels to 1955 in a time machine built by inventor Dr. Emmett Brown. He must ensure his teenage parents fall in love to secure his own existence.

In the sequel, Marty and Dr. Brown travel to the year 2015 to assist Marty's son, Marty Jr. Upon returning to 1985, they discover a changed reality where Biff Tannen has become a wealthy and influential man after gaining access to a sports almanac.
