Backstage tension and cultural roots highlighted on Brazil's 'Coração Acelerado

Actress Gabz, 27, who plays Eduarda in the Brazilian telenovela "Coração Acelerado", told CNN Brazil that slam poetry and hip‑hop shaped her artistic identity. She said, “Poesia de Slam foi meu reencontro com a arte,” and explained that her racial background influences every character she portrays.

During the series finale, production was halted when lead actress Isadora Cruz arrived late. Singer Ana Castela was ready to film, and actor Filipe Bragança used his microphone to announce that everyone was waiting “apenas uma única pessoa.” Sources said the delay reflected a broader strain on set, citing frequent schedule changes, script revisions and tension among crew members. The atmosphere remained tense at the wrap‑party, where photographs of Cruz were met with silence.

Gabz also recalled winning the 2017 "Slam Grito Filmes" competition, noting that slam battles helped organize her ideas and solidify her artistic direction.
