Bağcılar summer sports programs conclude with ceremony

The third annual ‘Mahallenin Yıldızları Summer Sports Schools’ organized by Bağcılar Municipality and the summer school program by TÜGVA Bağcılar concluded with a ceremony at Mahmutbey Stadium.

The municipal program provided basic training in football, basketball, and volleyball to 2,547 students aged 9 to 14. The training took place across 27 locations with the guidance of 52 professional instructors over a two-month period.

Simultaneously, the TÜGVA Bağcılar program ran for seven weeks across 36 locations, serving students from second grade of primary school to eighth grade of middle school. In addition to sports training, the program included strategy games, traditional sports, and values education.

The closing event included trophy and medal presentations for winning teams, a mini concert, and various activities for children. Local officials, including Istanbul Deputy Governor Ünal Kılıçarslan and Bağcılar Mayor Yasin Yıldız, attended the ceremony.
