Bacolod sci-fi film selected for Active Vista Human Rights Film Festival

The Negrense independent short film ‘Those Little Things’ has been selected for the Active Vista Human Rights Film Festival as part of the FRAMES: Filipino Short Film Exhibition. The film, produced by Kwentista Produksyon, utilizes a cyberpunk-infused setting in Bacolod in the year 2222 to explore themes of family, resilience, and human dignity.

Co-directed and co-produced by Poli Gonzales, with a screenplay by Massah Gonzales-Gamboa, the production features Ynez Arceo and Bon Cerbo in lead roles. The film’s selection follows its inclusion in the 6th Oroquieta Film Festival’s Lumayagan Shorts Competition. The festival aims to highlight filmmakers who use cinema to address systemic violence and demand accountability.
