An iron bridge in Ciobănuș, Bacău County, collapsed on Wednesday morning after a heavy-duty crane passed over it. The incident occurred on the DN12A road, which connects Oneşţi, Comănești, and Miercurea Ciuc.

According to the Bacău Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (ISU Bacău), no victims were reported in the incident. Emergency responders, including firefighting crews, a rescue team, and SMURD medical personnel, were deployed to the scene to secure the area and evaluate the damage.

Police are currently directing traffic, and alternative routes have been established for vehicles. The County Committee for Emergency Situations has been convened to analyze the situation and approve a plan to restore normal traffic flow. A Technical Support Group will also be deployed to assess the structural damage and determine necessary repairs.
