BAD Açores hosts regional meeting on heritage and innovation

The BAD Açores Regional Meeting is taking place between the islands of Flores and Corvo from September 17 to 19. Under the theme ‘From Legacy to Innovation: Cultural Heritage and Science in a Network’, the event brings together specialists in libraries, archives, museums, and information management.

Discussions will focus on the digital transformation of collections, open access to information, research data management, cybersecurity, and the role of libraries in cultural projects. The program includes sessions on regional press, legal deposit, and the contribution of university libraries to knowledge dissemination. The event also features an exhibition titled ‘The Unknown Islands’ by Raul Brandão at the Flores Museum.
