Bad Brains to release earliest studio recordings on November 6

Bad Brains, the influential Washington, D.C. band, will officially release 'Are You Ready: The First Studio Recordings (Inner Ear - March 1979)' on November 6 via Trust Records. The collection features six tracks from the group's earliest known studio session, which had previously circulated only as unofficial bootlegs for decades.

The recordings have been newly mixed by Ian MacKaye and will be available on vinyl, cassette, and digital formats. To preview the release, an early studio version of the track 'Pay to Cum' has been shared.

In conjunction with the release, several events are scheduled in the D.C. area. On November 5, bassist Darryl Jenifer and Ian MacKaye will participate in a conversation at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library. Additionally, an exhibition of archival Bad Brains material will open on November 6 and run through November 22.
