Bad Bunny sparks massive fan frenzy in Barcelona ahead of Spain tour

Puerto Rican reggaeton star Bad Bunny arrived in Barcelona, where fans spotted him entering and exiting the Mandarin Oriental hotel on Passeig de Gràcia. The sighting, captured in videos that went viral, led dozens of followers to gather outside the hotel, chanting his name and trying to catch a glimpse.

The artist’s Spain leg begins with two concerts on 22‑23 May at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in Barcelona, followed by ten shows at Madrid’s Metropolitano stadium from 30 May to 15 June. More than 600,000 tickets have been sold across the 12‑date Spanish run, with prices ranging from €73.30 for the cheapest seats to over €500 for VIP packages. Ticket‑sale platforms LiveNation and Ticketmaster experienced technical glitches as the lowest‑price categories sold out within hours.

The tour coincides with the launch of Bad Bunny’s “Benito Antonio” clothing line for Zara, unveiled in Barcelona just before the concerts. Hotel occupancy in Madrid is expected to rise sharply, with forecasts of up to 87% occupancy during the week of the Madrid shows, driven largely by international visitors.

Fans continued to flock to the hotel area throughout the night, hoping for an on‑stage appearance, though the singer kept a low profile after checking into the hotel.
