Bad Bunny tributes boxer Prichard Colón after his death

Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny has issued an emotional tribute to boxer Prichard Colón following the athlete's death at age 33. Colón passed away after more than a decade of living with irreversible brain damage.

The injuries occurred during a 2015 match at the EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, Virginia, where Colón received illegal blows to the back of the head while fighting Terrel Williams. The incident left the boxer in a vegetative state and reliant on a wheelchair for over ten years.

In a letter originally published in the Puerto Rican newspaper El Nuevo Día, Bad Bunny expressed his long-standing admiration for Colón, noting that he had followed the boxer's career since 2014. The artist described Colón as a prospect who possessed the style, intelligence, and charisma necessary to become a major star in Puerto Rican boxing.
