Bad Bunny's Super Bowl Halftime Show Earns Nine Emmy Nominations

Bad Bunny’s halftime performance at Super Bowl LX has been nominated for nine categories in the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards, the most ever for a Super Bowl show. The nominations cover Outstanding Variety Special (Live), directing, musical direction, choreography, production design, lighting design, hairstyling, sound mixing, technical direction/camerawork, and production design. The record surpasses Lady Gaga’s six nominations for the 2017 halftime show. The awards ceremony will be held on 14 September at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles and will be televised by NBC.

The show, which highlighted a pan‑American theme with flags from Chile to Canada and the slogan “Together we’re America,” featured guest appearances by Lady Gaga, Ricky Martin and others. Despite criticism from U.S. political figures, the performance became the most‑watched halftime show ever, drawing over 4 billion views in its first 24 hours.
