Bad Wolves guitarist AJ Rebollo leaves band over label disputes

AJ Rebollo, guitarist for the modern metal band Bad Wolves, has announced his departure from the group. Rebollo cited ongoing disagreements with the band’s label, Better Noise Music, as the primary reason for his exit.

Rebollo stated that the decision to move forward with a heavy metal cover of Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” was the “final nail in the coffin.” He explained that the band had expressed opposition to the release following Parton’s passing, fearing the move would be perceived as capitalizing on her death since a planned vocal collaboration was no longer possible.

While the label intends to donate proceeds from the track to the Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, Rebollo maintained that he could “no longer in good faith remain a member” due to the label's decision to proceed despite the band's explicit objections.
