Badajoz City Council begins road resurfacing project

The Badajoz City Council has commenced resurfacing works on the New Cemetery road, covering approximately 6,000 square meters of pavement. The project involves applying a new layer of asphalt following a milling process to remove deteriorated surfaces.

In addition to the asphalt, the intervention includes improvements to both vertical and horizontal road signaling. The works were initiated following complaints from residents of the El Manantío neighborhood regarding potholes and poor road conditions.

The road is a high-traffic route used by local residents, cemetery visitors, and heavy vehicles, including municipal waste collection trucks. While the repairs are viewed as a necessary step, local community representatives have noted that addressing drainage deficiencies will be essential to prevent future pavement damage.
