The Literary Classrooms of Extremadura, organized by the Association of Writers and Women Writers of Extremadura (AEEX), are launching a new season. The project, which has been running for 34 years, includes 28 annual meetings consisting of school talks and open recitals designed to reach over 1,100 students across 30 secondary education centers.
In Badajoz, the Enrique Diez Canedo classroom focuses exclusively on poetry. The upcoming programming features several prominent authors. Chus Pato, the 2024 National Poetry Prize winner, is scheduled for November 16 and 17. Miren Agur Meabe, the 2021 National Poetry Prize winner, will visit on December 19 and 20. The cycle will continue with Extremaduran poet Antonio Reseco in late January and conclude with Angolan writer Ana Paula Tavares.
Events for the general public will be held in the afternoons at the Museo Extremeño e Iberoamericano de Arte Contemporáneo (MEIAC) with free admission.
