Badajoz provincial government launches new AI and digital services

The Diputación de Badajoz has introduced new digital tools to enhance provincial services, including a proprietary artificial intelligence system and a virtual assistant named Rita. The custom AI is designed to maintain data sovereignty, initially serving provincial employees by providing contextualized answers based on administrative regulations and legislation. Plans are in place to extend this tool to municipal public employees in the future.

Rita, the virtual assistant, is designed to facilitate inquiries and administrative tasks for citizens, public employees, and taxpayers via WhatsApp, Telegram, and the web.

In conjunction with these technological advancements, the institution is also conducting the “Impulsando la provincia que mereces” program. This initiative uses an itinerant exhibition bus to visit 50 municipalities, including Fuente del Maestre, to present provincial projects regarding water, mobility, digital transformation, and infrastructure through interactive displays and community engagement sessions.
