Badajoz residents denounce ongoing sewage leaks in Suerte de Saavedra

Residents in the Suerte de Saavedra neighborhood of Badajoz have reported a continuous discharge of sewage onto a public sidewalk on Eduardo Naranjo Street. The local neighborhood association claims the issue has persisted for over a month, creating an unbearable odor and a significant health risk for commuters using the nearby bus stop.

The association has filed formal complaints with both the Badajoz City Council and the Junta de Extremadura. While the regional Ministry of Infrastructure stated they have no record of a formal repair request, they have committed to sending technical services to inspect the site. However, officials noted that under current regulations, the responsibility for the maintenance and conservation of common elements in such social housing blocks lies with the homeowners' community.
