Badajoz to host second Territorio Makers event

The second edition of Territorio Makers will take place from October 29 to 31 at El Hospital Centro Vivo in Badajoz. Organized by Arteotro Workshop and supported by the Diputación de Badajoz, the event focuses on the “do it yourself” culture, bringing together artisans, makers, and artists.

A central feature of this edition is the live construction of a four-meter-high artisanal climbing wall using wood and steel, combining traditional techniques with contemporary manufacturing technologies. Once completed on October 31, the wall will be inaugurated with bouldering races open to climbers.

The program includes an artisanal market in the Patio de los Pozos, workshops led by artisans, a collective sculpture created live by four artists, and demonstrations from sponsoring brands. The event will feature 16 makers and nine artisans specializing in disciplines such as illustration, silk-screening, bookbinding, jewelry, engraving, pottery, ceramics, and textile work.
