Badbergen quad accident leaves two people seriously injured

A serious quad accident occurred in Badbergen, Osnabrück district, on Thursday afternoon. A 26-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle while traveling on the “Zum Hasekamp” road toward Rüsfort, veering off the road in a right-hand curve for unknown reasons.

The quad overturned into a water ditch, leaving the 23-year-old passenger trapped underneath. Emergency responders described the scene as dramatic, noting that the driver had been holding the passenger's head above water until the fire department arrived.

Firefighters utilized a farmer's tractor to lift the vehicle and free the woman. Both individuals sustained severe injuries and were transported to nearby hospitals via two rescue helicopters.
