Baddeckenstedt: B6 bridge investigations trigger road closures

The Bundesstraße 6 near Baddeckenstedt will undergo partial closures starting October 5, 2026. The Niedersächsische Landesbehörde für Straßenbau und Verkehr has announced that the lane heading toward Hildesheim will be closed to facilitate drilling investigations on the bridge over the Hengstebach.

These investigations, costing approximately 60,000 euros, aim to determine the soil's composition and load-bearing capacity to assist in future bridge renewal planning. Traffic heading toward Hildesheim will be diverted via Kreisstraße 47 toward Klein Elbe, Kreisstraße 48 toward Groß Elbe, and Landesstraße 670 back to the B6. Cyclists will also follow this detour. Traffic heading toward Goslar will remain on the B6 but will be managed via partial lane closures at the construction site.
