Baden‑Württemberg automotive sector receives unified political support

In the Baden‑Württemberg state parliament, the Green, CDU and SPD parties jointly called for improved framework conditions, stronger innovation capacity and the preservation of jobs in the region’s automotive industry, which faces a deep crisis. CDU parliamentary group leader Tobias Vogt warned against political interference, urging the government to "release the handbrake" and stressing his personal experience from the automotive trade, noting that “behind every workplace stand people.”

The AfD accused the other parties of fostering a decade‑long de‑industrialisation of Baden‑Württemberg, while the coalition parties argued that coordinated action between employers and employees is essential for the sector’s recovery.
