Badolato Summer Edition honors poet Franco Costabile

The Badolato Summer Edition, part of the SPAC Festival 2026, is hosting a tribute titled ‘Bassitalia’ to honor the Calabrian poet Franco Costabile. The event features performers Anna Maria De Luca, Elvira Scorza, and Adriana Cuzzocrea.

Scheduled for August 17 at Palazzo Gallelli in Badolato, the recital explores the life of Costabile, a professor of Italian and history whose poetry evolved from childhood verses into social and political commentary. The performance will be replicated on August 18 at Largo alle Colonne in Roccella Jonica.
