Badr Hari released from Amsterdam detention
Former Moroccan kickboxing champion Badr Hari has been released from custody in Amsterdam under certain conditions following three days of detention. He faces allegations of threats, coercion, and “doxing”—the unauthorized disclosure of private personal information.
His legal counsel, Sem Polat, stated that the investigation stems from a family dispute with Hari’s ex-wife regarding the upbringing of their children. The defense emphasized that the case does not involve allegations of physical violence and noted that a judge found insufficient evidence regarding certain claims of stalking, insult, or the publication of sensitive personal data.
Hari released a statement via Instagram expressing his relief at returning to his family and stating his full cooperation with authorities. He expressed confidence in the judicial process and noted that the private family matter had unfortunately become a public spectacle. He maintained that his actions were motivated by the welfare and safety of his children.
