Child found dead in water after missing report in Badsey, UK

A young child who was reported missing in the village of Badsey, Worcestershire, was later found unresponsive in a nearby body of water and pronounced dead at the scene. West Mercia Police confirmed there was no third‑party involvement and urged the public to refrain from speculation online.

Emergency services, including a Midlands Air Ambulance Critical Care Car, attended the incident at around 6:50 p.m. on July 29. A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said paramedics treated the child, but it became clear that the child could not be saved. A coroner’s inquest will be arranged.

Police emphasized respect for the family’s privacy and indicated the death is being treated as a drowning pending further investigation.
