BaFin and Italian OAM warn of online investment and mortgage scams

Germany’s financial regulator BaFin has issued a warning about three online trading platforms – alpinenova.io, degiropartners.io and deltaprivatecapital.com – that appear to offer financial and securities services without the required licence. The sites use identical layouts and content, and investors risk losing money with no legal protection. BaFin advises consumers not to provide personal data or funds, to verify any provider in the BaFin register, and to report suspicious activity to authorities.

Italy’s credit‑broker regulator OAM cautions consumers against fake social‑media profiles and unauthorised promotions that mimic legitimate mortgage brokers. It urges verification of any credit‑intermediary in the OAM public registry before sharing personal information or paying fees. The warning highlights risks such as identity theft and fraudulent loan offers, especially for joint‑mortgage arrangements, and stresses that legitimate brokers will not request advance payments via unsecured channels.
