BaFin issues warnings against suspicious financial entities
The German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) has issued warnings regarding two entities suspected of conducting unauthorized banking business.
Landschaftsliebe GmbH, based in Osterspai, is under scrutiny for offering fixed-term deposit investments through its website and email. The company markets sustainable investments in Paulownia trees located in Croatia, promising high security and long-term financial benefits. However, BaFin warns that the company may be operating without the necessary permits.
Additionally, BaFin has flagged Kronberg Finanzen GmbH. Investigations suggest the company may not exist in official databases and is using a deceptive online presence. The firm reportedly uses AI-generated images of fake experts to establish a sense of legitimacy, despite inconsistencies in the visual details of these portraits.
