BaFin warns of unauthorized AI-driven crypto trading platforms
The German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) has issued a warning regarding a series of nearly identical websites offering crypto asset services under the guise of “AI-supported” trading platforms. BaFin noted that these unknown operators are providing services without the necessary regulatory authorization. One specific website identified in the warning is spacexfy.ai.
In a separate incident highlighting the risks of crypto-related fraud, an investor reportedly lost 1.1 million dollars after following a recommendation from a Vice President at a New York investment bank. The investor was directed to a crypto platform that displayed a fraudulent account balance of approximately 20 million dollars, though the funds remained inaccessible.
