Bagheria to host civic engagement and digital citizenship events
The municipality of Bagheria is hosting two distinct initiatives focused on civic engagement and digital literacy.
From September 8 to 11, 2026, the town will hold the “Bene comune, bene di tutti” program. This event focuses on shared administration and the use of “Patti di Collaborazione” (Collaboration Pacts), which are formal agreements between citizens and the local administration to manage and regenerate public spaces and social assets. The program includes co-design sessions for the Don Milani Center and a public assembly featuring Pasquale Bonasora, president of Labsus.
Additionally, the third edition of DataPolis, a digital citizenship festival, is scheduled for September 24 to 26, 2026. This festival includes training sessions for journalists to explore how data influences democracy and public policy. The curriculum covers the historical importance of official statistics and practical methods for data journalism, including how to extract investigative news from local urban datasets.
