Baglietto Derthona secures first BKT EuroCup win against Le Mans

Baglietto Derthona secured its first-ever victory in the BKT EuroCup by defeating the French side Le Mans Sarthe 89-83 at the Nova Arena. The match was closely contested, with the decisive moment occurring in the final minutes when Derthona responded to an 80-83 deficit with a 9-0 run.

Justin Gorham led the performance for the Tortona-based team, scoring 22 points with 8 rebounds and a 61% field goal percentage. Other significant contributors included Hubb with 14 points, Jallow with 13, Durham with 12, and Maddox with 10. The victory follows two previous losses for Derthona in the competition.

Le Mans, a team with five national titles and four French Cups, remained competitive throughout the game. Despite a strong effort from players like Wood and King, the French side was unable to overcome Derthona’s late-game defensive stops and scoring surge.
