Bagnacavallo Festival celebrates Italian Dolce Vita era
The Bagnacavallo Festival will feature a musical and narrative performance titled ‘In bianco e nero. La Dolce Vita italiana’, scheduled for Tuesday, August 11, at 21:00. Held in the cloister of the former San Francesco convent, the show features singer Silvia De Santis and pianist/composer Fabio ‘Farian’ Biffi.
The performance is dedicated to the 1950s and 1960s, recreating the atmosphere of Italy’s ‘dolce vita’ era through live music and original period extracts. The repertoire includes works by iconic artists such as Mina, Domenico Modugno, Adriano Celentano, and Gino Paoli.
Under the artistic direction of Michele Antonellini, the festival will continue later in August with performances by the Orchestrona della Scuola di Musica Popolare di Forlimpopoli on August 25 and the Pranvera Balkan ensemble on August 27. Admission to the events is based on a free offering, though reservations are recommended.
