Bagnacavallo Festival concludes with folk music performances
The 15th edition of the Bagnacavallo Festival in Italy is concluding with two evenings of folk music at the cloister of the former San Francesco convent.
On Tuesday, August 25, the Orchestrona della Scuola di Musica Popolare di Forlimpopoli will perform “Viaggio nella musica popolare… e non.” The group, founded by Davide Castiglia, utilizes an acoustic ensemble of accordions, violins, cellos, bagpipes, and percussion to blend traditional sounds with diverse musical territories.
The festival concludes on Thursday, August 27, with a performance by Pranvera Balkan. This ensemble explores Balkan folk music, covering regions such as Albania, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, Macedonia, Turkey, and Greece, while also incorporating influences from Romania, Poland, and Romagna.
Additionally, the exhibition “Il teatro della parola” by Andrea Tampieri, featuring linoleum engravings inspired by Guillaume Apollinaire’s “Bestiario,” remains on display in local shop windows in Bagnacavallo until August 27.
