Bagno a Ripoli celebrates community at Antellese in festa

The “Antellese in festa” community event took place at the CRC in Antella, Bagno a Ripoli, from August 27 to 30. The festivities focused on community engagement, sports, and social commitment.

A significant highlight of the weekend was the dedication of the ASD Antellese Calcio youth soccer school to Massimo Bertini, a young man who passed away in 2024 after battling glioblastoma. The dedication honors his memory and the work of the “La squadra di Massimo” association, which supports those facing brain tumors through research and psychological assistance.

Mayor Francesco Pignotti praised the event for strengthening local identity and social cohesion, noting that the soccer school's dedication reflects how sports can center families and youth within a community.
